The process goes in stages. The first step begins by determining, broadly, if I can do what you want and if you think I can do what you want. The next step is research and the initial presentation of roughly where I think the project should go; I show you some design sketches and if the direction is acceptable, we determine what material will be needed and a rough schedule of the order of importance. |
This is when details about timing, color, quantities and the like are worked out. The next step is creation of the final art. If we're doing a logo identity program, this is the basic art that everything else is derived from. At this point, everything that follows is sourced, quoted and billed as separate jobs. Typically: signage, stationary and business cards, then collateral material like brochures or menus, advertising. The project can benefit from my involvement as much or as little as the client wishes. |
